Getting the most from your garden office – 27 / 12

Working from home may seem like a dream come true. By ditching the office, you can wave goodbye to all those long and stressful commutes and, as long as you organise your time wisely, you may be able to enjoy a healthier work-life balance.

However, there are lots of potential pitfalls to avoid. For example, rather than relying on impromptu working areas, it really does pay off to set up a proper office and this is where garden studios come into their own. They can serve as a sanctuary from the hubbub of everyday domestic life and provide a tranquil and functional area to complete your tasks.

Only the best will do

It’s important when you’re choosing your garden office buildings to ensure you select a skilled and reliable provider. After all, while the idea of working from your own little pod in the back garden may be a romantic notion, the reality can be very different if the space is drafty, cold, damp and unattractive.

Thankfully, it’s easy to source superb quality buildings. Here at Ecospace we may be perfectly placed to design and build your garden studio and you can rest assured the finished product will look great and will be warm and comfortable.

The Ecospace WorkPod™

For example, our Ecospace WorkPod™ is a compact, ergonomically designed workspace intended for one person. It might be ideal for you if you’re looking for a year-round workspace and it comes with optional integrated workstation and storage systems.

Making your life easier, it is completed with office technology, lighting and low-energy underfloor heating.

Boost your productivity

The great thing about having a comfy, quiet space to get on with your work is the impact this can have on your productivity. It certainly beats getting a sore back while trying to work on the coffee table in the front room and it may even enable you to function more efficiently than when you’re in a traditional office.

What to expect

If you decide to come to us for your contemporary garden offices we’ll firstly discuss your requirements. After this, we’ll arrange a site meeting and design consultation involving one of our qualified designers or architects.

Next, we’ll give you a design proposal and quotation for a standard or bespoke building with any required options. If you’re happy with this, you can place an order and we’ll get to work on the manufacturing drawings.

Then it’s time to get started on the building work itself. Initially, light ground preparation will be carried out and services taken to your site. Following this, we’ll deliver your Ecospace building in sections and our skilled craftsmen will erect it in a matter of days.

The whole process from start to finish should take around 12 weeks, meaning you won’t have long to wait before you can start using your comfy new garden office.

To make your life easier, we’re able to take care of planning applications if they are required. This may come as a relief. After all, you’ve no doubt got many other things to be getting on with.
